Redback Megaphone A1982B operates in the same way as a standard megaphone, and is also fitted with an alert/evac tone generator which allows the broadcast of AS2220 alert and evacuation tones. 

 

The operation mode (alert/evac/megaphone) is selected via a toggle switch and is activated by pressing the trigger.  The tone remains activated until the trigger is released. 

 

The powerful 25W amplifier and efficient voice coil unit give the megaphone a range of up to 100m in good conditions.
