- Survival Kits and how to use them
- First aid kits
- Emergency food kits
- Tool making including strings and hunting tools
- Discuses what the human body needs to survive nutritionally ie food and water
- Simple trapping Identifying poisonous plants
- Bush tucker
- Camp cooking
- Different ways to obtain water
- Water purifying methods
- How to distill water
- How to build different types of shelters using different types of materials
- Different ways to start fires without matches or a lighter
- How to survive if caught in an uncontrolled fire
- Signaling for help
- Navigation using a map and compass
- Navigation without a compass day and/or night
- Reading the weather
- Prevention of common ailments in the bush illness and simple treatments
- Avoiding dangerous animals
- Medicinal plants
Minimum length of course – 2 days 1 night
Come along on a guided bush walk while gaining the knowledge to be able to bush walk unguided. Learn the 5 basic survival needs in relation to the bushwalker including
- How to plan a safe and enjoyable bush walk

Learn advanced survival techniques and then participate in a simulated survival scenario where you have been stranded after a plane crash or similar
- Perform search and rescue
- Advanced traveling techniques including river crossing and abseiling
- Alternative ways to catch sea food
- Trapping game
- Tracking
- Hunting methods
- Preparation of wild foods and how to cook them
- Preparing game
- Use your knowledge to travel to safety, then set up a base camp and survive whilst awaiting rescue
